Job Summary:
We are looking for a Core Web Designer & WordPress Developer who can design, develop, and maintain the college’s website and online platforms. The ideal candidate should have expertise in WordPress, UI/UX design, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and website performance optimization. The role will focus on building responsive, SEO-friendly, and visually appealing web pages while ensuring smooth user experience and functionality.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Website Development & Maintenance
- Design, develop, and maintain RCM’s official website and associated microsites.
- Ensure mobile-friendly, responsive, and fast-loading web pages.
- Optimize website structure and navigation for better user experience (UX).
- Regularly update content, images, banners, and event pages.
- Integrate third-party tools like CRM, payment gateways, and LMS.
2. WordPress Development & Customization
- Install, configure, and customize WordPress themes & plugins.
- Develop custom WordPress themes, widgets, and shortcodes as per the institute’s branding.
- Troubleshoot and resolve WordPress-related issues (performance, security, updates, etc.).
- Implement best practices for WordPress security & backup strategies.
3. HTML, CSS, JavaScript
- Write clean, well-structured HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript (jQuery).
- Customize and develop interactive elements, forms, and animations.
- Optimize website loading speed, SEO, and Core Web Vitals performance.
- Fix cross-browser compatibility issues and conduct debugging.
4. Website Performance Optimization
- Optimize images, scripts, and database for faster page load speeds.
- Monitor Google Page Speed Insights, Lighthouse, and GT metrix scores and make necessary improvements.
- Ensure website is ADA/WCAG compliant for accessibility.
5. Website Security & Data Protection
- Implement SSL certificates, security plugins, and firewall protection.
- Regularly update and maintain WordPress core, themes, and plugins.
- Protect against hacks, malware, and DDoS attacks.
- Ensure regular data backup strategies.
6. API Integration & Third-Party Tools
- Integrate CRM (HubSpot, Zoho), Payment Gateway (Razor pay, PayPal), and LMS.
- Work with APIs for lead management, admissions, and online inquiry forms.
- Ensure smooth connection with Google Analytics, Facebook Pixel, and Tag Manager.
7. Content Management & Collaboration
- Work with digital marketing and admissions teams to update website content.
- Ensure smooth content upload and integration for blog articles, event updates, and press releases.
- Optimize landing pages for higher conversions and lead generation.
Key Skills & Requirements:
✅ Education: bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, IT, Web Development, Multimedia, or a related field.
✅ Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience in web design and development, preferably in the education sector.

- CMS: WordPress (Themes, Plugins, Custom Post Types)
